When the coronavirus struck, residents of Pioneer Village, our local retirement home, were confined to their rooms. Although residents and staff had started making masks, they couldn’t make them fast enough.
Members of our club dusted off their sewing machines and got busy stitching over 130 masks so that residents could have one to wear and one for the laundry. Residents could then leave their rooms to walk the grounds and see their families, socially distanced, of course!
