The Rotary District 5110 Club Assembly, Celebration and Conference is back! District Governor Gerry Kosanovic joins the Rotary Clubs of Corvallis, Albany, and Philomath in inviting you back to Corvallis on April 28-30, 2022. District Conferences in 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to pandemic precautions, but the encouraging public health benchmarks in 2022 indicate that it’s time to resume our annual show of Rotary fellowship and celebration this April.
Corvallis is consistently ranked as the Best College Town in the Pac-12 and Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley offers an abundance of fine dining, arts, culture, natural areas, and athletics. Come explore boutique shops in a vibrant downtown, enjoy a scenic hike within minutes of town, or golf at one of the region’s best golf courses. When you visit Corvallis, you’ll experience why life is delightfully different here.
Special pre-conference events include the Rotary Golf Scramble on the afternoon of April 28th and our traditional Club Assembly on the 29th. A first-ever Rotary Street Party on the Corvallis waterfront that same evening, complete with a savory selection of food and beverage options, will also feature some unexpected amusements and top-notch live entertainment.
The 2021-22 theme for Rotary International is Serve to Change Lives and our conference program offers a range of plenary and breakout sessions reflecting several exemplary areas of service both within our district and beyond. The topics important to all of us – education, energy, the economy, technology, and our environment – inspired speakers will cover all of these. Our conference concludes with a Saturday night banquet and celebration featuring keynote speaker Jose Reyes, Co-Founder of NuScale Power, and internationally celebrated recording artist and cello innovator Gideon Freudmann.
